Lord, thank you for the Basotho people of the Kingdom of Lesotho, and for the way You’ve preserved them throughout history. Thank you for their kindness and openness which reflects You, God.

You call each of them into Your Kingdom. We draw Lesotho believers into the wider Kingdom of God, and declare their belonging and inclusion in the Body of Christ.

Father, HIV is prevalent in Lesotho, and that often brings fear, breakdown of trust and heaviness. We pray for Your Spirit to flood people’s hearts with love to see their suffering neighbours. May they draw each other in, instead of look away. We pray that You, Comforter, will comfort those who need comfort so that they may comfort others.

Lord, we lift up Lesotho’s government, and every leader therein; the kingdom and king, every business, organisation, family, friendship, adult and child. We pull them under the safety of Your covering, and declare Your sovereignty over every action the country’s citizens may take. We hold to what You say, that Your purpose will stand, and You will ultimately accomplish Your will.

We pray for those wondering what will happen to Lesotho to take heart and know You are Lord, and that You care.

We pray for healing of perspective for Basothos on what the future holds. We pray believers will see Your horizon of blessing and redemption. Fill them with hope right now as they face present questions.

We bless every child in the country with good friends and mentors to encourage them. May many dreams for the future bubble up within their hearts. We release boldness to them to fulfill their potential, and we pray for Your provision to accomplish what You’ve purposed.

Lesotho, we prophesy that waves of change and Kingdom of God influence will flow out from your nation, like the water from the highlands of your country flows into South Africa. We declare that Lesotho is a blessing to the nations surrounding it. We bless the Basothos to step into this reality and act accordingly.
