God, we pray that You will soften the hearts of the people of Mauritania to Your voice and Your Word. We pray for Your truth to go out with a sound until all hear of Your love, Your sacrifice and Your resurrection life for them.
Lord, Your words bring life (Psalm 119:43), healing (v. 92), strength (v. 92), hope (v. 43), joy (v. 2), comfort (v. 50), wisdom (v. 99), guidance (v. 105), protection (v. 114), peace (v. 165) and holiness (v. 9). May Your words accomplish Your purposes in Mauritania.
I pray they will come to know Your words in their spirits so that they live them out in their nation, build their houses on the rock (Matthew 7:24). May the faith of the people be a testimony of You, their Foundation distinct from all other shaky ones. “For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?” (Psalm 18:31) Lord, there is no rock besides You. (Isaiah 45:5-6,18). You are what they need. I pray that You will strengthen the faith of the Christians and reveal Yourself to those who do not know You.
Mauritania, “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable.” (Isaiah 40:28) God is not too weary to bring you help. His hand is not too short to save, no matter your circumstances. He longs to defend your weak, to comfort your needy, to lift you up from where you have fallen and fill you with fresh life and hope.
I pray, God, that You will move and show Yourself in the midst of Mauritania’s needs. I pray You supply physical and spiritual food and water. I pray for Your protection over the vulnerable, that many will rise up and plead their case, to bring justice to the fatherless and supply the needs of the widow and orphan.
Christians in Mauritania, I pray you will not give up! I pray God fills you with new life, vision, purpose, and the fruit of His Spirit. I pray that as you wait on the Lord, you will feel Him renew your strength. That you will mount with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, and walk and not grow faint.
