Job 39:28-29 – “On the rock the eagle dwells and resides, on the crag of the rock and the stronghold. From there it spies out the prey; its eyes observe from afar.”
While in prayer for believers around the world, I sensed the Lord is ready to release new dimensions of sight to His people. Accurate sight, like the eye of an eagle.
Just as an eagle’s eye can distinguish things in much greater detail than humans, the Lord wants to release new levels of clarity to see what is both far ahead and near. There’s an invitation to come up higher and see (Revelation 4:1). The Lord longs for us to take our rightful position in Him. “And raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:6.
An eagle’s eye looks both downwards and forwards at the same time. In the same way, God desires to release the ability to perceive present circumstances excellently, in light of what’s ahead on the horizon.
This sharp sightedness and awareness is also being given to identify where and how the enemy has been hiding in camouflage, so that we can evict Him, that He may no longer take advantage (2 Corinthians 2:11, Song of Songs 2:15, Ephesians 4:27). We’re meant to expose the enemy’s schemes, not ignore them. We’re over the enemy, not under!
Sharp-sightedness and perspective are important to help us navigate challenging times in this season and the time to come. There are deep things of God that we need fresh revelation of. The Lord is releasing this new dimension of perceiving to those who ask.
I also see the Lord wants to do some ‘eye surgery’. There is an invitation to allow Him to do so in order for us to be able to see things clearly, enabling us to stand (Ephesians 6:11b) wherever HE puts us.
Response: Lord, I invite you to do spiritual eye surgery today. Strip away earthly ways of seeing things. Heal all spiritual blindness. Open my eyes that I might prophetically perceive the present and future with fresh, clear heavenly insight. Lift me up higher to see what you see. Recalibrate me to perceive what you are speaking and revealing throughout the day and through my dreams.
