Lord, I thank You for the nation of Tanzania, for the beauty and diversity of cultures, tribes and languages. I praise You for the glory of Your creation within its borders from which You provide for its people. I praise you for the warmth of Tanzanians and their role in Your Kingdom.
I bless every Tanzanian with hopefulness and ownership over their own lives.I break off the shackles of feeling lost, helpless and hopeless. May these no longer be lenses through which they see their futures. I bless them with excitement and eyes to see the next step lit up before them on the path to abundant living with You.
May Tanzania experience Your mighty power. May they see Your supremacy over every spirit of darkness and fear. May they realise the insufficiency of ancestral worship and occultism, cut ties with false powers, and turn toward You. Everything pales in comparison to You, Father! May they know Jesus as the One True God.
Lord, I pray for the children. Nurture their hearts, develop their unique personalities, and fill them with joy that overflows. Raise up, like fresh green shoots, leaders from among them. In unlikely, seemingly barren places, raise up bright people to transform the face of Tanzania with more of Your glory.
I pray for Your gospel to be communicated in every language. For local believers to be stirred to partake in the Great Commission, and for non-Tanzanians to partner in relevantly sharing the gospel to the unreached. Fill the hearts of Your people in Tanzania with deep compassion, to see their fellow citizens as family. May they stay committed to each other even in difference.
I declare that You are compassionate for Tanzania. You are the God Who Sees and the God Who Heals. You don’t withhold Your goodness from Tanzania.
You have come to liberate and save the Tanzanian people. I declare that even now, Jesus, You’re able to save completely those who come to You and You are always interceding for Your people (Hebrews 7:25). You are their Shepherd, moved by sweet, deep, endless love for them. You keep Your promises. We hold to Your words. In Jesus name. Amen.
