While praying for the church, I heard a sound of a heavy door opening. I heard the Spirit call, “Free tools!” As I looked, I saw a heavenly armoury opened, full of spiritual tools for God’s people (Jeremiah 50:25, Ephesians 1:3).

I saw many bows and arrows, swords, knives, helmets, breastplates, shields and other pieces of battle armour as well as various baptisms of fire (Ephesians 6, 1 Thessalonians 5:8, Luke 3:16). Then I saw an area of clothing with new garments of various types and colours. Lastly, was a medicinal section, stocked to the roof with of balms, anointments and oils in various vessels (Ezekiel 47:12). Each one of them had a label associated with a scriptural truth, or a revelation of the name of the Lord that when applied would bring healing and deliverance to spirit, soul and body (Proverbs 4:20-22, John 8:32). There were especially large reserves of the ‘oil of joy’ and ‘anointing oil’ waiting to be accessed (Psalm 45:7, Isaiah 10:27).

Again, the Spirit called, “Free tools!” and I knew He is inviting us, His people, to be freshly kitted up with our identity in Christ, with tools to defeat the enemy’s schemes and advance the Kingdom.

The Lord is urging us to exchange the old and battered approaches for the fresh. Many of these have been good, were God-given and rooted in truth, but they’ve fulfilled their purpose for their season. He has fresh perspective and mighty weapons for breakthrough for you; new strategies for a new season (Philippians 3:7-14, Isaiah 55:1-2, 2 Corinthians 10:3-6).

Take this moment to pause. Holy Spirit, what do you want me to surrender to you today? Release these things in the place of prayer.

Ask the Lord for the new weapons He has for you from His storehouse. Agree with what He shows you and receive it by faith.

Seek Him for a fresh revelation of your identity. By faith, clothe yourself with those truths and attributes regularly (Colossians 3:12-15).

Lastly, as You read the word, ask Him to reveal truths to you that will bring healing and restoration to others. Expect this to be an outflow of your life and speech moving forward (Isaiah 61:1-3, Psalm 107:20, Proverbs 12:18).
